Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other beneficial properties. The fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog receives all the essential, natural antioxidants. This can benefit your dog's immune system, contribute to fresh breath, and help maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote your dog's overall health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Swiss running dog specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Swiss Laufhund. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Swiss Laufhund belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Swiss Laufhund.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus in the Asteraceae family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe, and also grows wild throughout Europe. The name "chamomile" comes from a Greek word meaning "ground apple," referring to its apple-like scent. Chamomile has a great reputation in herbal medicine.
Chamomile can be added to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific ailments related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation, and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with a "nervous digestion," as it has antispasmodic and antiseptic properties.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant in the carrot family and is recognizable by its anise flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb, and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamin A and C, as well as the minerals iron and potassium.
Fennel can be added to dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It may contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heath family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. Originally, the plant comes from North America and is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost for dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which helps maintain healthy levels of vital fluids in the body. They are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, making the bladder environment less attractive to bacteria. Adding cranberries can also have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. The healthy fiber in cranberries promotes healthy digestion and helps dogs feel full for longer.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific ailments related to, among other things, digestion, skin, joints, bones, and nerve functions.

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Swiss Running Dog food at your own discretion.
