Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Swedish Lapphund. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Swedish Lapphund belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Swedish Lapphund.
Parsley
Parsley is a biennial, hardy, herbaceous plant from the parsley family. Parsley has been used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. It combats dozens of ailments. According to various sources, it cures diarrhea, anemia, and ear infections, among other things. It is rich in iron, more so than spinach, for example. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C, and carotene.
At Yourdog, we add parsley to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems related to blood, heart, and kidneys.
Parsley is a natural source of vitamins C, A, and K. This can contribute to a healthy immune system and eyesight, and can benefit the cardiovascular system and liver. Parsley also has anti-inflammatory properties and can have a diuretic effect, keeping a dog's bladder free of impurities.
Marigold
The calendula (marigold) is a plant that, like the goldenrod, belongs to the composite family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for its various medicinal properties for years. The original calendula species probably originated in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this common marigold is rarely found in the wild anymore. Calendula is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.
There is a lot of information available about the positive effects of calendula. We can add calendula to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes, and feet. It's particularly good for the recovery of skin and mucous membranes, it has anti-inflammatory properties, and it has a regenerative effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestive process.
Calendula is mainly used as an external care product for things like scrapes or skin problems. However, it can also be used internally due to its regenerative properties.
Raspberries
The raspberry is a plant in the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages, and the plant is native to all of Europe.
Raspberries contain many substances that can support a dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.

Puppy, adult, or senior?
To help you choose the right variant of our Swedish Lapphund dog food, please use the following guidelines. If your Swedish Lapphund is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Swedish Lapphund older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Swedish Lapphund Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transfer advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of dog food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust to this. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Swedish Lapphund dog food at your own discretion.
Storage instructions
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
