Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Saint Bernard-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Saint Bernard. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Saint Bernard belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Saint Bernard.
Peppermint
Peppermint is a plant in the mint family. It's the plant that led to the creation of peppermint candies. Peppermint originated from a cross between water mint and spearmint. The plant was discovered in England in the seventeenth century in a field of mint plants. It is cultivated in England, France, China, Japan, and in North and South America.
We can add peppermint to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the intestines and gallbladder. Preventing itching is also one of the properties of the peppermint plant.
Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint in peppermint can have an anti-spasmodic effect on the intestines and promotes the flow of bile in the intestines. In addition, it can have an antiseptic effect.
Peppermint is rich in vitamins A and C, and minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus.
Spirulina
Spirulina is a nutritional supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the family of microalgae. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?
It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to the overall health and well-being of the dog. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also has a detoxifying effect and promotes digestion.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heath family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. Originally, the plant comes from North America and is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost for dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which helps maintain healthy levels of vital fluids in the body. They are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, making the bladder environment less attractive to bacteria. Adding cranberries can also have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. The healthy fiber in cranberries promotes healthy digestion and helps dogs feel full for longer.

Puppy, adult, or senior?
To help you choose the right variant of our Saint Bernard dog food, please use the following guidelines. If your Saint Bernard is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Saint Bernard older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Saint Bernard Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transfer advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow two or three days for your dog to adjust. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for two days. After this, you can feed 100% Yourdog Saint Bernard dog food at your own discretion.
Storage instructions
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
