Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other beneficial properties. The fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Labrador-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Labrador. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Labrador belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Labrador.
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a naturally occurring substance found in joints, cartilage, synovial fluid, and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates cartilage production and helps keep joints supple.
Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case for older dogs or (over)weight dogs, but also increasingly for younger, very active dogs. For example, due to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.
Spirulina
Spirulina is a nutritional supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the family of microalgae. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein?
It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to the overall health and well-being of the dog. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also has a detoxifying effect and promotes digestion.
Tomato
The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and originates from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog, we use tomatoes on a culinary level, considering the tomato as a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content that aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color; the redder the tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving tomatoes their color, lycopene is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can offer protection against cancer and help with cardiovascular disease. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B-complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific ailments related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular disease. In addition, it may have a general cleansing effect on the body.
Puppy, adult, or senior?
To help you choose the right Labrador dog food from our range, please use the following guidelines. If your Labrador is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Labrador older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Labrador Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transfer advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Labrador dog food at your own discretion.
Storage instructions
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
