The Trixie Dog Activity Target Stick Assortment is a versatile training tool, ideal for clicker and target training. With this target stick, you can positively and playfully teach your dog, cat, rabbit, or even bird new commands, exercises, and tricks.
What is a target stick?
A target stick is a retractable pointer with a soft ball on the end. The animal learns to touch the ball with its nose and thus follows the movements of the stick. This makes it easier to clearly convey commands and exercises.
Benefits of the Trixie Target Stick
The Trixie Dog Activity Target Stick offers many advantages:
-
Extensible from 14 to 65 cm, useful for both close-range and long-range training.
-
Soft, nose-friendly ball that does not injure the animal.
-
Integrated clicker in the handle with a constant click sound for rewarding.
-
Suitable for multiple animal species, including dogs, cats, rabbits and birds.
-
Compact and lightweight, easy to carry.
Disadvantages of the Trixie Target Stick
A minor drawback is that this product is supplied in assorted colours, meaning you cannot choose a specific colour when ordering online. Functionally, this doesn't change anything, but you will receive a random colour.
How do you use the target stick?
Using the target stick is simple. Hold the stick in front of your pet and reward immediately when it touches the ball with its nose. Then you can teach the animal to follow the stick and expand to specific exercises or commands. The integrated clicker helps to mark desired behavior precisely at the right moment.
Training with the Trixie Target Stick
This stick is suitable for various types of training:
-
Basic commands such as sit, lie down, or follow.
-
Fun tricks like spinning, jumping, or walking through a hoop.
-
Agility and dexterity training with dogs.
-
Clicker and target training for cats, rabbits, and birds to work together in a playful way.
