Our ingredients To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog. Buffalo At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits. Poultry At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals. Vegetables To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other beneficial properties. The fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things. Fruit We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog receives all the essential, natural antioxidants. This can benefit your dog's immune system, contribute to fresh breath, and help maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote your dog's overall health. Herbs The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants. French Bulldog-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the French Bulldog. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the French Bulldog belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the French Bulldog. Peppermint Peppermint is a plant in the mint family. It's the plant that led to the creation of peppermint candies. Peppermint originated from a cross between water mint and spearmint. The plant was discovered in England in the seventeenth century in a field of mint plants. It is cultivated in England, France, China, Japan, and in North and South America. We can add peppermint to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the intestines and gallbladder. Preventing itching is also one of the properties of the peppermint plant. Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint in peppermint can have an anti-spasmodic effect on the intestines and promotes the flow of bile in the intestines. In addition, it can have an antiseptic effect. Peppermint is rich in vitamins A and C, and minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus. Nettle Nettle is a genus of plants, of which the stinging nettle and the common nettle occur in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders. Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it supports the bladder and hair growth in dogs. Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in, among other things, bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and ensures the maintenance of healthy skin. At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific problems related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as helping to prevent digestive and/or urinary problems. Tomato The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and originates from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable. At Yourdog, we use tomatoes on a culinary level, considering the tomato as a vegetable. Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content that aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color; the redder the tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving tomatoes their color, lycopene is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can offer protection against cancer and help with cardiovascular disease. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B-complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system. Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific ailments related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular disease. In addition, they may have a general cleansing effect on the body. Puppy, adult, or senior? To help you choose the right French Bulldog dog food from our range, please use the following guidelines.
