Our ingredients To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog. Buffalo At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits. Poultry At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals. Vegetables To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other beneficial properties. The fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things. Fruit We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog receives all the essential, natural antioxidants. This can benefit your dog's immune system, contribute to fresh breath, and help maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote your dog's overall health. Herbs The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants. Siberian husky-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Siberian Husky. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Siberian Husky belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Siberian Husky. Banana The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not fall below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word "banaana" from the language of the Wolof people. Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen the immune system. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a properly functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with hypertension, while magnesium can help relax muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain a lot of good fiber and promote beneficial gut bacteria. Peppermint Peppermint is a plant in the mint family. It's the plant that led to the creation of peppermint candies. Peppermint is a hybrid of water mint and spearmint. The plant was discovered in England in the seventeenth century in a field of mint plants. It is cultivated in England, France, China, Japan, and in North and South America. We can add peppermint to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the intestines and gallbladder. Preventing itching is also one of the properties of the peppermint plant. Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint in peppermint can have an anti-spasmodic effect on the intestines and promotes the flow of bile in the intestines. In addition, it can have an antiseptic effect. Peppermint is rich in vitamins A and C, and minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus. Spirulina Spirulina is a nutritional supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the family of microalgae. Did you know that spirulina can be grown in space and consists of 60 to 70% protein? It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and potassium, and all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to the overall health and well-being of the dog. In addition, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also has a detoxifying effect and promotes digestion. Puppy, adult, or senior? To help you choose the right Siberian Husky dog food from our range, please use the following guidelines. Transfer advice If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of dog food, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust to this. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for two days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Siberian Husky dog food at your own discretion. Storage instructions After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
