Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry

These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Spinone Italiano. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Spinone Italiano belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Spinone Italiano.
Fennel
Fenugreek, like the pea, is a plant in the legume family. The plant is also called foenegreek or "Greek hay". It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in antiquity. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.
Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. It contains saponins and coumarins, which may help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (a natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.
Fennel can be added to the feed by us to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fennel, and it supports healthy digestion.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin occurs naturally in a dog's body and is one of the main components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain moisture, which should provide a spongy cushioning effect in the cartilage.
Chondroitin improves cartilage flexibility and also has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Furthermore, it stimulates the production of the building blocks necessary for healthy cartilage.
When chondroitin is given in combination with glucosamine, it supports and enhances the effect of glucosamine. Therefore, it is often given as a nutritional supplement for people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.
Blueberry
Blueberries belong to the heath family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has long been used in traditional European medicine and is known for its purported positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.
Blueberries can be added to dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fiber for digestion and are rich in vitamins C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the overall health of the dog.
Puppy, adult, or senior?
To help you choose the right Spinone Italiano dog food from our range, please use the following guidelines. If your Spinone Italiano is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Spinone Italiano older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Spinone Italiano Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Transfer advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of dog food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust to this. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can switch to 100% Yourdog Spinone Italiano dog food at your own discretion.
Storage instructions
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
