Modern roughage isn't as varied as their natural diet, leaving them lacking essential nutrients. Alpacas' natural habitat is exposed to high levels of sunlight. This means they have a high vitamin D requirement. Metazoa FitRight Alpaca contains sufficient vitamin D to compensate for the lack of sun exposure. Furthermore, the diet is rich in calcium, and the grains consist primarily of wheat, a grain that many alpacas find particularly delicious.
