History
The American Bulldog originates in the United States and is descended from the English Bulldog. This breed was originally used as a working dog on farms, where they herded livestock and guarded property. In the 20th century, the breed was threatened with extinction, but thanks to dedicated breeders, the American Bulldog has been preserved. Today, the breed is valued as both a family dog and a working dog.
