This is important because a good balance of these substances is essential for the calf's health.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOne of the main advantages of the D-Bolus is that it can increase the urge to drink in calves with diarrhoea. When calves suffer from diarrhoea, they lose not only fluid but also buffers, which lowers the acidity level. A side effect of this is that their urge to drink also decreases. This can cause the calf to become increasingly weak and even put it at risk of dying. With bicarbonate, the D-Bolus provides an important buffer. The D-Bolus is therefore perfect for increasing the urge to drink.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe D-Bolus contains 10% more bicarbonate than comparable pills and comes in a special fast-dissolving gelatine capsule, so it can be absorbed faster and takes effect more quickly.
